How Dr. Gail Weingast Became a Radiology Professional
Way back in 1969, Gail Weingast attended Jackson College at Tufts University and she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. That kind of indicates that she wasn’t intent on a career in medicine at the very beginning. However, the notion must have come to her soon after because not long after that, she went to the Boston University School of Medicine and became Dr. Gail Weingast MD in 1976.
Of course, that was only the beginning of her medical education, really. After completing her initial med school education, Dr. Weingast did a two-year pediatrics internship and a two-year pediatrics residency in pediatrics, followed by a three-year residency in radiology and a fellowship ultrasound. All of that work was done at Denver’s Colorado General Hospital and she completed that in 1983. Dr. Gail Weingast finally completed her post-graduate studies as a radiologist at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver, in 1984. That was just her initial education, however; since then, Dr. Gail Weingast has learned even more, to the point that she has become a prominent radiologist.
